Shield Boosters – what am I missing?

This forum post on IGN’s VN Boards for EVE Online cleared up shield tanking for me in Shield Boosters – what am I missing?

Boosting is different from Regenerating.  Boosting is from shield boosters.  Regen is constant.   There are two schools of thought regarding boosting.

Main Shield Components

  • Active – Boosting / Hardening / Boost Amplifier
  • Passive – Regeneration / Amplifiers / Shield Extenders
